Girls of American History is a multi-sensory curriculum that uses the American Girl book series, and follows a pattern of "Read it, Hear it, See it, Write it, and Do it".  This is a hands-on curriculum, and allows you to choose the best activities for your students.  These activites are great ways to expose your students to new skills and hobbies.  See the resources section for each unit for suggested activities.  

This curriculum is appropriate and well liked by both girls and boys; with strong male and female characters in each book.  The entire class can get involved in various games, meals, crafts and field trips - an engaging and memorable way to learn about our nation's history.

The co-op/school license is good for the purchasing co-op/school only and never expires.  The co-op/school who has ownership, has permissions to teach the units purchased to as many classes as they like.  Copies may not be made for other co-op/schools, families, students or teachers - as it would violate the copyright policy.  The school retains ownership of the material.

American Girl Add on Set - Units 13-15 - Co-op/School License

This set includes the units for Maryellen®, Melody® and Nanea®. Main topics include - Life in the 1950's, Polio, Segregation, Life in the 1960's, Pearl Harbor Attacks. Each unit is meant to last six weeks. This is a multi-sensory curriculum, integrating hearing, seeing, writing, saying, doing. This is a curriculum for both boys and girls.
