Girls of American History is a multi-sensory curriculum that follows a pattern of "Read it, Hear it, See it, Write it, and Do it". This is a hands-on curriculum that uses the American Girl book series, and allows you to choose the best activities for each of your children. These activities are great ways to expose your children to new skills and hobbies. See the resources section for each unit for suggested activities.
This curriculum is appropriate and well liked by both girls and boys; with strong male and female characters in each book. The entire family can get involved in various games, meals, crafts and field trips, creating memories while learning foundational elements from our nation's history.

Kaya® - A six week unit study using the American Girl® Kaya® series books. This study gives boys and girls a look into the Pacific Northwest and the Nez Perce Indians in 1764. Although this particular unit pertains to a time in our history that is prior to the exploration of the Pacific Northwest and an establishment of a real organized government, the study of the Pacific Northwest and the Nez Perce Indians is still a rich part of the history of North America.
Suggestions to further the study of this time period as well as craft and field trip ideas are included in the unit to help enhance the study.
